Citizens Task Force Endorses Proposed 2010 Bond Package

The Citizens Task Force for Austin's proposed 2010 mobility bond election has completed its work with a resolution endorsing the revised package developed by the Austin Transportation Department. The CTF also in its resolution made recommendations to the City Council for process improvements to be considered in future bond cycles.

Next steps in the process include a July 26 briefing with the City Council's Comprehensive Plan and Transportation Subcommittee, followed by a presentation of the City Manager's final recommended package to the full council on July 29. The council is tentatively scheduled to vote August 5 on whether to call a November 2010 mobility bond election and adopt the package for consideration by the voters.
